A decision requiring an EIR is rendered by Ian A. Bowles, Secretary of Environmental Affairs. “….due to the potential environmental impacts…, the unique nature of the project site, and the established nitrogen sensitivity to Little Pond, I am requiring that an EIR (Environmental Impact Report) be prepared. This is a great victory for Little Pond supporters. Further state review is mandated! The EIR process is an extremely complex, lengthy process which requires the developer to answer volumes of questions and provide accurate detailed information to the state.
